Monographic museum dedicated to the artistic legacy of the Basque painter Gustavo de Maeztu.


The Maeztu Collection


The largest area of the art gallery is occupied by the Maeztu collection: The Main Floor houses around twenty of his most significant works, spanning all the creative phases of the painter and allowing visitors to understand his concerns and the artistic languages he employed. On the Second Floor, a series of engravings and lithographs are displayed, reflecting the creative process behind Gustavo de Maeztu's works.


Temporary exhibitions


Temporary exhibitions on the Ground Floor, various themes, movements, and artists are featured, with new exhibitions every two months.

Winter schedule

from 17 October to 27 March

Tuesday to Saturday: from 9:30h to 13:30h
Sundays an public holidays: from 11:00h to 14:00h
Close on Mondays.


Summer Schedule

from March 28th to October 16th

Tuesday to Saturday: from 9.30h to 13.30h and from 16.00h to 19.00h
Sundays an public holidays: from 11.00h to 14.00h.
Close on Mondays.

Rules

During your visit to the museum, keep in mind that...


  • Works of art are fragile and can be damaged at the slightest touch, so please do not touch the goods on display.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the building.
  • Photos and videos will not be allowed inside the building, without authorization.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside the building in accordance with Law 28/2005.
  • Animals are not allowed, except guide dogs.
  • If you come to the museum with children, make sure they are always with you
  • Large packages cannot be accessed; they will have to be dropped off at reception.
  • The entry of sharp objects or similar items that may cause harm is not allowed.
