INFORMATION

At www.museogustavodemaeztu.com, we think about accessibility for all users, a basic feature of the web: universality. We guarantee access to information and services on our pages without limitation or restriction, due to any disability or technical conditions, considering the different devices and contexts from which information can be accessed.

Advantages of an Accessible Website:

  • Facilitates access for people with disabilities, older adults, and in general, for all users.
  • Allows access with different browsers, devices, etc.
  • Results in clearer and more structured content.
  • Improves navigation and user experience.

WAI Accessibility 1.0 Level AA:

To achieve this goal, the following standards have been applied:

  • Relative font sizes have been used so that the user can enlarge the font using the text size options in their browser.
  • The content has been structured using semantic markup, to enhance the navigation for users who use a screen reader to access the content.
  • The code and style sheets have been developed following the recommendations of the W3C consortium, generating valid code that adheres to formal grammars and whose analysis does not cause any validation errors.
  • The correct display of the portal has been checked in different versions of major browsers and across different platforms.
  • In order to achieve maximum compatibility with browsers and devices, the use of JavaScript has been avoided in elements that affect the functionality of the site. It is only used for programming visual elements that assist the user during their navigation through the portal, but it is not required for navigation itself.

Current Status of the Website

The website has been certified as compliant with accessibility level AA.

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of certain areas.
