The Database of Contemporary Navarrese Painters

This is an open and ongoing project that systematically aims to gather information about the artistic scene in Navarre from approximately the last third of the 19th century to the present day, offering a significant collection of data on the most representative figures of the Autonomous Community.

This initiative is linked to the set of objectives the Gustavo de Maeztu Museum is pursuing to promote research and dissemination of artistic creation in its environment.

PINNAC has currently established itself as a proprietary and reference information resource for the Museum, a virtual library designed to meet the informational needs of both specialists and researchers in Navarrese art, as well as the general public interested in the topic.

This database is under constant review and updating. The information in this encyclopedic compendium about Navarrese painters is the result of meticulous research through monographs, exhibition catalogs, periodicals, press articles, and other bibliographic materials. It has also been necessary to turn to other centers and external sources of knowledge to help complete this ambitious project. Similarly, artists are encouraged to send their own information about their work, exhibitions, biographical details, etc.

PINNAC is organized alphabetically. Each artist's entry includes their two surnames and first name, followed by their pseudonym or artistic name, where applicable.
